Last week we witnessed a milestone for the FinDevSecOps community: our first DevSecOps hackathon. It was a powerful step forward in reshaping the way we approach secure software development for FinTech.
The energy was palpable as 11 talented teams showcased their skills, with 7 advancing to the finals. What stood out most was the remarkable performance of the student teams. Not only did they successfully tackle complex tasks, but they also presented their solutions to the judges with clarity and professionalism.
One of the highlights was the prize we were honoured to offer – a specialised course in secure development, developed in partnership with Bauman Moscow State Technical University. This course is designed to empower future AppSec engineers and security champions. For the winners, this was more than an award – it was an opportunity to grow, learn and bring new skills back to their organisations.
